Agent Lee adds Write Operations and Generative UI
Key Points
- Write operations with explicit user approval
- Generative UI renders inline telemetry charts
- Beta available to all Free plan users
Summary
Agent Lee, the AI co‑pilot in the Cloudflare dashboard, now supports two major capabilities: performing write operations across your account (DNS, SSL/TLS, Workers routes, etc.) and a Generative UI that renders inline charts and structured visualizations from your actual account telemetry. Write operations require explicit user approval before any change is committed; approval is enforced at the infrastructure level.
Key Points
- Write operations
- Perform changes via natural language (e.g., add/modify DNS records, enable Always Use HTTPS, set SSL mode, configure Workers routes).
- Every proposed change is presented in plain language and requires you to select Confirm before execution; enforcement occurs at the infra level to prevent unauthorized changes.
- Generative UI
- Render inline charts and structured data in chat using your account telemetry (traffic, error rate, cache hit rate, etc.).
- Example queries: "Show me a chart of my traffic over the last 7 days," "What does my error rate look like for the past 24 hours?".
- Availability & getting started
- Currently in Beta and available to all users on the Free plan.
- To try it, log in to the Cloudflare dashboard and select Ask AI in the upper-right corner. See the Agent Lee documentation for interaction patterns and safeguards.
- Security & operational tips
- Review the proposed change summary before confirming; treat write operations like any other production change (review, test in staging, audit logs).
